A most interesting calendar that features a map at center titled "Map of the Confederate States of America" (10.8" x 7.8") with good detail at a scale of 135 miles to the inch. Surrounding the map are Confederate themed images including large portraits of Jefferson Davis and Gen. Robert E. Lee, with smaller portraits of generals John B. Gordon, Thomas (Stonewall) Jackson, G.T. Beauregard, Joseph E. Johnston, J.E.B. Stuart, Albert Sidney Johnston, John B. Hood, and James Longstreet. Other illustrations include the $10, $20, $50 and $100 Confederate bills, postage stamps, flags, and photographs of several Confederate monuments and the Confederate Capitol building in Richmond, Va. The calendar pad goes from October 1911 to June 1912. At top is an advertisement for Altona Farms in Charleston, West Virginia. Two smaller ads at bottom are from the C.F. Wall Co. On verso are numerous Confederate songs and poetry, and a long chronological list of important battles and events in the Civil War. Published by The Kenyon Co., Calendar Makers, Des Moines, Iowa for Altona Farms. Note: Diagonal lines in image are weights for photos and not flaws.

Map is fine, the rest of the calendar has occasional creasing. A little roughness at top along metal band with small area of loss, away from image and title. The first two pages of the calendar pad have roughness at bottom edge.
