Well rendered panoramic bird's-eye view of the city with people and soldiers in the foreground. Above are three large insets: Rebel Prisons on Main, Near Twenty-Fifth Street, Richmond; The Capitol at Richmond; and Henrico County Jail, Richmond. This handsome view was originally published in Harper's Weekly in 1861 and was reprinted in this commemorative issue.
