Italian issued copper engraved map of the island showing remarkable detail and a well developed topography. Embellished with an attractive cartouche with figures, sea monster, dog and a horse. Compass rose with fleur-de-lys. Table across bottom gives provinces and populations for a number of towns and villages.

Condition: A

Crisp impression on thick hand laid paper. Issued folding, now pressed and backed with archival tissue. Margin extended to compensate for binder's trim. Thin printer's crease across part of map.
