A fine and complete atlas with approximately sixty decorative, copper engraved maps, all set within ornamental borders. Atlas contains approximately 54 double-page maps of France, plus 2 large folding maps of France, 3 of European interest and one that shows most of the Eastern Hemisphere. The folding maps are titled: "Galliae Veteris..." and "La France Divisee en toutes ses Provinces….." Hardbound with paper covers and leather label on spine, large 4to. Contents: double-page decorative title page by Le Charpentie, Discours Preliminaire (15 pp.), approximately 60 engraved maps (including 2 folding maps). The atlas cover should be restored.

Maps are fine (A+), all signatures tight. All maps printed on thick hand laid paper. Covers sound but very worn and rubbed, leather title label on spine intact. Complete down to original end papers.
