This is the second edition of this interesting map of the South by Abraham Bradley Jr. and updated by Morse. It was published just after the formation of Mississippi Territory in the region formerly claimed by Georgia in the battle between the state and the federal government over control of the Western Land Claims. A dotted line running north-south through present-day Georgia, "All West of this line is claimed by the United States & also by Georgia," is the eastern boundary of the region that was shown as Georgia Western Territory on the first edition. Another interesting feature of the map is the notation of the number of men in several of the Indian tribes in the western territories.
