A spectacular map engraved by R. Michault showing all of the departments along the Baye de la Seine with terrific detail throughout. Long notes in two fancy wreath-style cartouches describing the region. Extends south to the Dioceses of d'Avranches and du Mans. Decorative title cartouche features two globes. Six coats-of-arms in lower left cartouche. A rarely seen and most decorative map.

Condition: A

Beautiful, early impression with fine original coloring on thick hand laid paper with wide margins. Light marginal stain just enters map at left and right borders, else near fine. Light discoloring along centerfold.
