Large map of the Alsace region and the Rhine River valley. Includes the fortified cities of Colmar, Freiburg, Breisach, Basle and Schaffhausen. Decorated with a fine (fully colored) figural cartouche featuring a soldier, river gods, putti and a vineyard.

Minor soil and slightly faded original color. Expert repairs of four tears into map (about 2") at top, now nearly invisible.
