An unusual city plan that is centered on the U.S. Marine Hospital in Chelsea, near Boston. All streets are named, as are some other buildings, using a scale of 100 feet to an inch. Locates the Winnisimmet Ferry and Steamboat Landing. Compass rose with draped pennant. Drawn by Alonzo Lewis who was a prominent citizen of Lynn. Dated October 16, 1835. Very nice example in unadulterated black and white.
