Fabulous 32 page advertising booklet promoting the Oregon Short Line Railroad and Yellowstone National Park, with two maps. On the back cover is "Map of the Oregon Short Line Railroad and its Connections" (8 x 9"), which shows the region from Yellowstone to the Pacific. At the center is a large folding map "Oregon Short Line Railroad - Yellowstone National Park" with the park outlined in red and labeled The Heart of Wonderland. The booklet also contains fine full-page colored gravure photographs of the lower falls of the Yellowstone, Castle and Beehive Geysers, Pulpit Terrace, Mammoth, The Punch Bowl, Gardiner Canyon, Grand Canyon [of the Yellowstone], Castle Geyser, Excelsior Geyser, Golden Gate, Minerva Terrace, Mammoth, Upper Falls of the Yellowstone, Grotto Geyser, the Madison River, The Crater of Oblong Geyser, Eagle Nest Rock, the Teton Range, and the Morning Glory Spring. Filled with articles and helpful guides: The Sights you will See, a day-by-day itinerary for a stagecoach excursion from Monida, MT; What to Wear; and a Geyser Time Card for 1904 that gives information on the height and duration of geyser eruptions for more than 30 geysers. Cover is dated 1899. All folds into paper covers with Old Faithful on front cover, titled " Where Gush the Geysers."
