First is a large (21 x 17.3") detailed map by Thomas Kitchin, 1794, showing the division between Spanish and Portuguese control over the continent. Second (14.2 x 14.3"), by Thomas Stackhouse, 1785, is a sparsely detailed map showing the political divisions. An interesting comparison.
