Finely detailed map of central Europe showing the Confederation of the Rhine, which was formed in 1806 by a group of Germans that decided to throw their nations' future in with Napoleon Bonaparte and ally themselves with France. The Confederation, outlined in red, includes the duchies of Westphalia, Saxony, Wurtemberg, Baden, Bavaria and several other smaller states.
