This is a copper engraved map from a King James version edition of the Holy Bible. The tribes of the children of Israel are listed on the right side. Shows the routes of Abraham and the children of Israel. Text in English on verso gives a detailed description of Canaan. Title cartouche features Moses and Aaron at each side. Beneath the title and still part of the cartouche is the quote "The Law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ John 1:17." Inset at upper left is a bird's-eye view of Jerusalem and vicinity with the Mount of Olives and Calvary. Further embellished with a fully engraved sea and compass rose.
