This is a very handsome map of Africa with the typical features of the early eighteenth century. The source of the Nile is shown fairly accurately. However, remnants of the Ptolemaic twin lake source is still present, now with the Zebee River flowing into them. The title cartouche is particularly nice with pyramids, a soldier, river god, native with elephant tusks, lion, serpent, elephant and dragon.
