Very nice and complete small folio atlas with 28 engraved maps hand colored in outline. One chart (France) is large and folding, the rest are double-page. Plus two uncolored double-page celestial charts. All maps dated between 1846 and 1856. The map of the United States is dated 1856. Hardbound in later red quarter leather and marbled paper boards. Two title pages, Preface, Table des Cartes, text, maps and charts. A lovely atlas that has been very finely rebound.

Original end papers with a little scattered foxing. Owner's name in ink above first title page. All maps very good to fine.
