This is one of the most elaborately decorated maps focusing on the tip of South America with the Strait of Magellan and Le Maire Strait. Several strange creatures are shown in the interior, some of which are being stalked by hunters. Numerous ships are engaged in combat in the waters off the west coast. Two compass roses and four beautiful cartouches complete the composition.

Nice impression and wide margins. Toned with a few light spots and faded color. Couple of wormholes and tears with cello tape repairs in blank margins, none affecting map.
