Miniature map depicting the world as known in classical times. The map is in the central section of a large oval frame. It extends as far east as China and Sumatra and as far south as the northern tip of Madagascar. The border is ornamented with strapwork in each corner, with the title across the top and the attribution to Hondius across the bottom. Second and identical title is above upper neatline in block printed style. Latin text on verso.

Lovely, early impression with original margins, wide at sides. Soft fold down center, one spot at top and very light stain just entering upper right border.
