A lovely pair of star charts that are filled with hand colored figures representing the constellations. The constellations include Scorpio, The Centaur, Hydra, Leo, Ursa Major and Minor, Virgo, Hercules, Libra, Antinous, Sagittarius, and more. A legend indicates the magnitude of stars between 1 and 6, nebula and clusters. Locates the Ecliptic Line and the Milky Way is depicted with finely engraved stars. Along the bottom are the months of the year. The charts have separate borders and are printed on a double-page sheet. Blank versos. Engraved by W. G. Evans under the direction of E. H. Burritt. Published by F.J. Huntington.

Nice impressions and original hand coloring. A few foxing or toning spots, mostly in margins. Short split on centerfold and a couple of binding holes on fold, not affecting plates.
