Large, double page engraved map showing an early rendering of Wyoming Territory, created in 1868. Correctly shows Montana which, along with Wyoming, was previously contained in a large Idaho territory. Excellent detail throughout, the map identifies scores of place names, roads, watershed, topography and political boundaries. The sheet names the Emigrant Road, forts, springs, and more. A large single Dakota extends to Minnesota. Dated 1865, but published with updates to circa 1869.
