Early map and set of views. The detailed map of Niagara Falls also includes an inset showing its position between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, Upper Canada and the State of New York. A dotted line at the falls shows where "clouds of thick mist rises here." The three early views include, "View of the Horse - Shoe Fall of Niagara.", "View of the lesser Fall of Niagara." and "View of the Falls of Niagara." The "View of Bethlehem - a Moravian settlement." depicts the tidy community along a river on a gently sloping hill. Published in Isaac Weld's "Travels through the states of North America, and in the provinces of upper and lower Canada, during the years 1795, 1796, and 1797," published in 1799 and today a fairly rare issue. Lot of one map and four copper engraved views.
