Map is on Mercator's projection with detailed information on climate and ocean currents. Beautifully and finely engraved as is characteristic with these maps. Two smaller maps at bottom depict the trade-winds. Nice 16-point compass rose. Originally drawn in 1867 this is the updated 1881 edition.

Lovely impression and coloring. Slight toning in margins. Library stamps on blank verso with no show in front.
