These desirable views are from Pufendorf's chronicle on The Northern Wars and military campaigns of Sweden's King Charles X. 1) Bird's-eye plan of one of the important forts defending Copenhagen. The Danish navy fills the sea and the map is adorned with title and key cartouches and a compass rose. (14.5 x 11.4") 2) Beautifully engraved plan of the fortified town of Fredericia. There are sailing ships and full stippling in the Baltic, good detail of the walls and canals. A very decorative view embellished curtain-style cartouche, compass rose with rhumb lines and simulated picture frame borders. (13.3 x 10.6") 3) Handsome plan of two fortified locations along the fjord, including Hals. The Baltic is filled with sailing ships and a fine compass rose. The plain title cartouche adds to the graphic design. Simulated picture frame borders surround the plan. (12.2 x 9.8")
