This interesting map centered on Nurnberg depicts the post roads linking the majors cities of Europe. A legend identifies the different types of postal routes and stops. Embellished with two cartouches, one with a cherub riding a Pegasus and a striking coat of arms. Title is also in Latin at top above neatline. A remarkable look at the early, extensive postal system in the early 18th century per the postmaster, Johann Peter Nell.
