This great plan is from Pufendorf's famous chronicle on The Northern Wars and military campaigns of Sweden's King Charles X. At top is a panoramic view of the battle for Bremen (1657) with bombs bursting over the city and a gallows shown in the foreground. At bottom is a plan of the vicinity of Bremen with the Danish and Swedish fleets in the harbor and armies storming the fortified city. Decorative cartouches and border adorn the sheet.
