Charming small plan shows the fortifications at Bonn during 1689 when it was destroyed by Elector Frederick III of Brandenburg. A decorative key at right names the important sites. Nicolas de Fer held the title of Geographer at Louis XIV's court. He was one of the most prolific publishers of plans of European cities in the late seventeenth century.
