This boldly engraved copper plate map is centered on Frankfurt and displays the city in a block layout. The area extends to include Alt Hanau and Neuw Hanau in the east and Hochst in the west. The most striking feature is a spectacular bird's-eye view of Frankfurt looking north across the Main River, with beautiful vignettes at each side. Text title placed above the map.

Dark, strong engraved line and fine coloring, on thick paper with original margins. Uncolored cartouche and vignettes, as issued. One small area of toning or staining in mostly blank area below map, else fine.
