This boldly engraved plan details the small fortified town of Gyula, in south-eastern Hungary close to the border with Romania. The town is surrounded by a moat and tall protective walls. Individual buildings are depicted and a second inner moat protects the important buildings, towers and church. Title is within a banner-style cartouche.

Very crisp impression with some layout lines visible in title area. Some light printer's ink smudges in image. A little marginal soiling and foxing.
