This is a very scarce regional map prepared for Peter the Great's survey and published by the Geographic Department of the Imperial Academy of Science. It shows the region north and east of St. Petersburg, extending east to include Berezovo and the river Ob, and southeast to include Jnizhniy Novgorod. Sheet is filled with minute detail and embellished with a fine title cartouche.
