A fully engraved map centered on Milano that covers the region from Genoa to the Italian lakes region and is filled with scores of place names, many walled cities, villages, etc. This map concerns itself with some battles near Mantua. The fortified towns of Verona, Mantova, Parma, Cremona, Morbergno, Placenza, Bobbio, Modena, Genova, Alba, and many more are located. Dated 1702 but published in the first edition of the Grosser Atlas in 1716. Fine cartouche with eagle, globe and a town plan.

Crisp impression and fine original coloring on hand laid paper with original margins. One small food stain at lower centerfold and short printers crease entering cartouche, else fine.
