Plan of the ancient walled city, now in ruins, situated approximately 60 miles south of Baghdad. The plan depicts the famous hanging gardens, one of the wonders of the ancient world, the tower of Babel and several palaces and monuments. In the foreground is a scene of potentates and an elephant on the river bank.
