This is a very scarce regional map prepared for Peter the Great's survey and published by the Geographic Department of the Imperial Academy of Science. It shows northern Siberia in the region along the rivers Yenissei, Lena and Kolyma. There are still unexplored areas in the north of the Taimyr peninsula. The map provides fine detail of the rivers and lakes, forests, mountains, moors and settlements. Adorned with a nice title cartouche.
