This is a finely engraved copper plate map of the Mediterranean and North Africa. Details are largely devoted to Egypt and the Barbary Coast with some detail in southern Europe. Title in block-style cartouche. Isaac Tirion was a successful bookseller in Amsterdam who produced many maps, usually based on the work of Delisle. This map, however, was based on the work of D'Anville.
