This strongly engraved map details the Mediterranean coast from the Red Sea to Libya and south to today's Asyut. There is good detail along the Nile River valley, but only scattered place names in the interior. The very decorative title cartouche features several pyramids, an immense tower and a scene of man-eating crocodiles along the Nile.

Very nice impression on hand laid paper with full margins. A little light, scattered foxing.
