The Jones collection covered the whole period of American exploration; from Columbus and Vespucci, to the gold rushes of California and Alaska. "Adventures in Americana" covers the 300 most important works in the collection with illustrations of the title-pages. The check list has 1,746 short entries and includes all the titles in the collection. 520 pp., hardbound in original brown buckram with gilt lettering on spines.
