This fine map of the state includes a large and detailed layout of the "City of San Francisco." The plan shows projected land reclamation with streets named and extending into the yet reclaimed bay. Nicely detailed throughout, it locates railroads, roads, cities, villages, gold diggings, springs, dry lakes, etc. The railroad surveys had recently been completed and the proposed and explored routes are shown. Published by Johnson & Browning, circa 1860.
