This large, pocket map is highly detailed and dated 1852 in copyright notice, updated to 1859 as indicated in the title. Filled with information, villages and towns, roads, and a large number of railroads. Surrounded by an elaborate and decorative border, it folds into original brown blind-stamped boards with gilt titling. The map was drawn by Geo. W. Colton and engraved by J.M. Atwood. A truly beautiful example of this pocket map.

Condition: A+

The map is clean and bright with fine original coloring. Slight sunning on spine, else covers are fine. Stamp of Boston College on blank verso of map.
