This is a handsome map of the Bearn region of southwest France with the mountains of the Pyrenees graphically illustrated. The major cities are prominently depicted including Bayonne, Orthez, Pau and Oloron. The map is adorned with a strapwork title cartouche and a distance scale featuring figures wearing traditional costumes. Latin text on verso.

Fine impression and original color. Bottom fold separation just entering border, and with some loss along edge, well away from the map.
