Jean Baptiste-Michel Renou de Chauvigne-Jaillot was the last member of this important French cartographic family. His most important work was this impressive group of maps covering the city of Paris, which was originally published in 1772-1775. This fine reproduction includes all 25 sheets in full size (largest sheet is 36.5 x 27.5", smallest, 9 X 13.8"). The bird's-eye plans present each section of the city in amazing detail. Folding plans are enclosed in a paper covered portfolio with cloth ties.
