This small map is robustly engraved and embellished, and filled with detail of the topography and cities. At upper left is a vignette showing the fabulous Rheinfall, and at left is inset a bird's-eye view showing the course of the Rhein River. At bottom, the arms of the thirteen cantons surround the title cartouche and a figurative cartouche encloses the distance scales.
