Mercator's fine map of the region north of the Black Sea encompassing the Crimea and the southern steppes of Ukraine. This map served as the basis of most other cartographer's depictions of the region throughout the seventeenth century. It is boldly engraved in Mercator's unique style. Latin text on verso.

Mostly very good with a sharp impression and wide original margins. A couple of small spots in map and some offsetting that erases easily.
