Fine chart of the mouth of Moose River on James Bay showing the location of Moose Fort and the various other small settlements in the area. This map is from Samuel Hearne's epic journeys through the Northwest Territories in search of mineral deposits and the fabled Northwest Passage. The map is filled with navigational information. A large compass rose orients the map with north in the upper right corner.
