1) Map of the City of Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii, Rand McNally, 1922. This large map details the city streets with railroad and automobile routes noted. Key on verso locates over 100 important buildings, points of interest, streets, etc. The map extends from Moanalua Gardens east to just beyond Diamond Head, and north to include part of the U.S. Forest Reservation. Advertisements surround the map. Folds into pictorial wrappers with an illustration of a surfer on the cover. Surf boards at the time were huge and weighed nearly 100 lbs! Map separated from cover with no damage (28.8 x 16.5").

2) City of Honolulu, Territory of Hawaii. Hawaii Tourist Bureau, 1923. This great piece of ephemera shows roughly the same area as the first, but stops just short of Moanalua Gardens. An index at bottom margin names important buildings and points of interest. Verso has large (17" x 13"), detailed map of the entire island of Oahu. Red overprinting shows the paved roads around the island. The rest of the verso has sections of interest to the tourist including Popular Automobile Trip, Sight Seeing by Street Car, Mountain Trains Back of Honolulu, and more. Folds into 3.5 x 8.5" self wrappers (26.3 x 14").
