This fine pocket map was issued for the tourist trade. The map has a directory to streets, hotels, public buildings, Places of Amusement, etc. The Base Ball Grounds, which is not near the current Fenway Park, is prominently located. East Boston is included in an inset map. Louis Prang was known more for his chromolithographed city views than for his maps, and the inside cover of the map notes that L. Prang & Co. are publishers of Prang's American Chromos on a fetching floral chromolithograph and violet endpaper. Folds into gilt stamped black boards measuring 3.5 x 5".
