This is a nice early map of Texas showing several early settlements including Dallas and Fredericksburg. Indian tribes, forts, and early county development are noted. The farthest west counties are Gillespie, Medina and Webb. A vast uninhabited region lays between the established counties and the Ilano Estacado.
