This charming miniature map shows the island and the important port of Angra. It is decorated with strapwork title and scale cartouches, a sailing ship and two tiny sea monsters. It was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenburg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. Italian text on verso.
