This well rendered bird's-eye view depicts the fortified Swiss city of Bern. The detailed plan shows the Arola Fl or Aare River wrapping around the city with scores of individual buildings, churches, towers, and named streets. Fields and forests spread beyond. With German text, wood block figures and elaborate titles on verso.
