Decorative map of the Spanish region of Catalonia that covers the Mediterranean coastline from the French border via Barcelona to Tortosa. The splendid, allegorical cartouche at right shows Perseus about to decapitate the fearsome Medusa, and a figure representing Catalonia is kneeling before a monarch, to illustrate the surrender of Catalonia to Felipe V of Spain during the War of the Spanish Succession.

Very striking map with some minor soiling at blank margins. A couple of printer's creases are just left of the centerfold and tiny hole is just inside the left border.
