Splendid map of the Holy Land depicting the Exodus and the Wandering of the Children of Israel. Moses and Aaron flank the decorative cartouche, Jonah and the whale are shown in the sea, and the Pharaoh's forces are seen drowning in the Red Sea. The map is oriented with west at the top by a lovely compass rose. This map was engraved by Hondius and purchased by Blaeu who issued it under his own name.

Condition: A
Minor creasing along centerfold with repair in bottom blank margin. Some damp stains in top margin and pencil notations in bottom margin. Remnants of linen hinges on verso.
