A fully engraved copper plate map with excellent detail throughout the region of Asia north of the Tropic of Cancer. The map extends to include all of Russia and Siberia, and south to include Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, the Caspian and Black Seas, etc. Locates Peking (here Pekin) and portions of the Great Wall. Embellished with three cartouches including a dedication cartouche to Anna Ioannovna, the Empress of Russia between 1730 and 1740.
