Oriented with north to the left, this large chart details the coastline from Cape Blanco north to Cape Bojador. The sea chart is arrayed with rhumb lines, two compass roses and an attractive distance cartouche featuring a mermaid making a chart. The map is decorated with a magnificent figurative cartouche featuring a hunting vignette and flanked by merchants and warriors.
