A charming miniature map of the North American continent featuring the southern part of the island of California. The Great Lakes are open-ended in the west and called Mer Douce and there is a north-south range of mountains called Mont de Suala. Title in drape-style cartouche. Second state, blank verso with German text above the map.

Condition: B+

A good impression on a sheet with later color with some show-through on verso. Couple of light stains, mostly confined to blank margins, one just into neatline at bottom.
